The Gardens

During renovation work in 1999, the current gardens were conceived by the noted Southern California landscape designer, Nancy Goslee Power. The main focal point of the interior garden is the beautiful, naturally landscaped pond and small architectural waterfall. The design of the area evokes serenity, similar to Monet's Giverny with magnificent sculptures ingeniously integrated into the landscape. There are more than 180 species of trees, shrubs, vines, ground cover and perennials in the 79,000-square-foot gardens. The overall landscape design is a work of art in-and-of itself, providing the appropriate backdrop for the world-class art collection. www.nancypower.com

Mariposa Horticultural Enterprises, Inc. has maintained the Gardens for numerous years. We perform our work through the seasons in the background, with exacting detail and an awareness of the importance of our job to keep this living work of art consistent with its original design.
